In this issue, we honor Jearlean Taylor, a true embodiment of resilience and beauty that transcends the surface. We are humbled to feature her in the Paper Doll dress and celebrate both her striking presence and the strength of her spirit.
Q: How did you feel when you first saw yourself in the Paper Doll dress?
Jearlean: "It was such a powerful moment. Wearing that dress was more than just about fashion—it was a declaration that I am here, standing strong, and I will continue to rise above any challenges life throws at me."
Q: You’re a survivor in every sense of the word. Can you share some of your journey with our readers?
Jearlean: "Absolutely. Being diagnosed with a rare condition at a young age, I faced years of surgeries and living with an ostomy bag. It wasn’t easy, but I decided early on that this would not define me. I wanted to show others that you can live a full and beautiful life regardless of your circumstances."
Q: What advice would you give to someone facing a difficult health journey?
Jearlean: "You are stronger than you think. Take one step at a time and surround yourself with positivity. And never, ever let anyone tell you that your beauty is diminished because of what you’ve gone through. If anything, it’s enhanced."
Q: How has your outlook on life changed since turning 56?
Jearlean: "I’m more focused on joy and self-acceptance. Turning 56 has been about embracing who I am, imperfections and all. I want to live life fully, without regrets, and show others that age is just a number. It’s your spirit and how you choose to show up that truly matters."
Q: Lastly, what does the color pink symbolize for you in this chapter of your life?
Jearlean: "Pink has always been a symbol of hope, strength, and femininity for me. Wearing that pink Paper Doll dress was a way to reclaim all of those qualities for myself. It’s a reminder to be soft yet strong, and to embrace life with open arms."

Editor’s Note by Camille Marine, Designer @jkfashioncoset
Creating the Paper Doll Series has been a deeply personal journey, it was a celebration of the resilience that so many of us hold within. It speaks to courage, to survival, and to an unbreakable spirit that blossoms even in the face of life’s most profound challenges.
It’s an honor to share her story through my art, Jearlean by far is one of my favorite models to work with. Not only is she a great person, but her leadership is present in so many creative spaces. My vision for this design was to create something that would make a powerful visual statement but would also honor her journey.
With heart and vision,
Camille Marine
