Miami knows how to make an entrance. At Miami Swim Week 2026, Giannina Azar brought a point of view shaped by a much longer story: one rooted in Dominican and Lebanese heritage, and expressed through fashion that moves between resort wear, eveningwear and couture. Her runway presentation took place May 29 at M2 Miami as part of Swim Week Powered by Art Hearts Fashion.

Azar’s work has traveled across international runways, from Miami Swim Week and Dominicana Moda to Miss Universe and RD Fashion Week. That range matters. It places her in a conversation about how designers carry cultural identity into different fashion spaces and how a signature can remain recognizable while the setting changes.

In a 2020 interview, Azar described her label as Caribbean in color, with ornamental details influenced by her Lebanese heritage. She spoke about brass and copper accents alongside gala and resort pieces. That combination offers a useful lens for understanding her fashion world: occasion dressing can be expressive and transportive, while still drawing from a personal and cultural vocabulary.

Her Miami Swim Week presentation brought that established language into a swim and resort setting. The runway format invites impact, but Azar’s appeal is not only about the moment a look appears. It is also the identity behind, the distinctive details, the cultural references and the sense of intention carried across categories.

For Full Bloom Magazine, stories like Azar’s are part of a broader view of fashion: as design, cultural expression and a way for a creative voice to travel. Her work connects Dominican and Lebanese heritage with a global audience, while keeping the designer’s own visual language in view.
